Heather Odendaal – Owner, Wedding Planner

Heather has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top Event Professionals two years in a row (2020/2021) by BizBash as well as events she founded have won awards across the globe including the Top 10 Most Innovative Meetings of 2021. Heather started her career in Whistler working on some of the world’s largest and most prominent events, including the Whistler Film Festival, Crankworx Mountain Bike Festival and the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.  She is consistently feature in a variety of top-tier publications and podcast talking event planning and building authentic connections. 

Heather has lived in Whistler for over 19 years and has built a strong network of wedding vendors in the Sea to Sky community since starting Weddings by Bluebird in 2010.   She takes the time to really get to know her clients, providing the appropriate vendor and venue recommendations that will exceed all expectations.

In her spare time, you can find her judging local food & wine competitions, paddleboarding on the local Whistler lakes in the summer and skiing Whistler Blackcomb mountain in the winter with her husband Mike and their two children.
